Fall season is my favorite
It's hard to believe that December is right around the corner. Another year has come and gone. Did you accomplish all you set out to this year? I know I sure didn't. I feel the days slip away so fast. I have the best intentions each week to get it all in. The things I must do, the things that I hope to do and the things that set my heart and soul on fire. What do you think never seems to happen? You guessed it, the things that set my heart and soul on fire. I bet most woman have this same problem. Everyone and everything come first, and we push what is important to us to the end of the line. I have no one to blame but me. We all have the same number of days in our weeks. The same 24 hours in our days.
I am making a promise to myself. Beginning December 1st, I will add me to my calendar! I will set aside time each Sunday and work out a system. I will list the must do, these are the unmovable items. Example would be work, doctor appointment and etc. Followed by the things I should get accomplished. Example would be clean out the closet or shop for the upcoming family birthday. Next, I will fill the remaining time with what sets my soul on fire or at the very least keeps me in a good head space. What that looks like for me is going for a hike, taking a yoga class, watching the sunset or simply go outside in the woods all alone. We are worth carving out that little piece of the day for our mental health.
I set a goal for myself to do this for three months and see if it helps to add some time for myself on the calendar. I believe if I make it as important as I do everything else, I will make it happen. I might even find I will keep it permanently!
Let me know if this would help you too and if you try it, please give me your feedback!
With love and light,
Lisa
